Back-to-school season can bring a mix of excitement, overwhelm, and tender moments—for kids and parents alike. Transitions, whether seasonal, developmental, or personal, often stir up more emotions than we expect. At Guided in Nature, we believe these changes are also invitations: to slow down, reflect, and find steadier ground.
If you’re navigating a new rhythm this fall, here are some practices and community offerings to support you.
Back-to-School Tips: Creating a Gentle Morning Routine
Mornings can feel like a sprint before the day even begins. Parents juggle packing lunches, brushing teeth, and finding shoes—while trying to keep calm in the chaos.
One tool that has truly helped our family is a visual morning routine board. My almost-four-year-old now takes more independence with self-care (with pride), and I’ve noticed mornings feel calmer and less stressful.
If you’d like to try this in your home, download the free PDF below. If there are any difficulties, just send me a note, and I’ll email it your way. Email me at Lauren@guidedinnature.com with the heading Morning Routine. Here’s a sample view. Scroll for the download!
